T-Shirt and Grey Blazer Fashion Union / Hat Monki / Cardi Topshop (old)

My second month guest blogging for Fashion Union's Blog - here's the link to the post. There has been sight delay which is entirely my fault for completely losing track of time! Really can't believe it's mid April!

For my next Fashion Union blog post, I chose an outfit of T-Shirt and jeans with a grey blazer. I chose a dress last time, so I thought I'd go for "seperates" this time and challenge myself to see if I've chosen items that would go together as an outfit. The T-Shirt is lovely, I like them baggy so it is the perfect type of fit for me. I will blog about the blazer in a separate blog post because I don't want to overload the post with so many photos. I like to stick to a maximum of 6 images per post if I can (unless something has a lot of details). I also chose one of their coloured skinny jeans to complete the outfit, as I loved them ever since I saw them on their Facebook page and if you're in to the trend of coloured skinny jeans, then Fashion Union have a wide range of them at £20-£25 (bargain!). Unfortunately, they didn't fit my short legs but I am one of those people who find it difficult to find the perfect pair, which is why I only own 2 pairs of jeans. Which brand is your favourite to go to for jeans? And have you bought yourself a pair of coloured jeans this season?

Dress Motel Rocks from Fashion Union / Jewellery Temporary:Secretary

Last week, I mentioned that I am a guest blogger for a fashion brand called Fashion Union and my first blog post is now live on their blog. I don't usually give suggestions for what to wear with an outfit other than what jewellery or shoes I'm wearing myself, so I thought I would give this a go when I was browsing through Fashion Union's website in attempt to recommend a day time and evening look (as seen below). I love florals but I don't own many dresses with such a sharp print as this and it reminds me of Mary Katrantzou's collection (especially the one she did for TopShop).

I really like putting these images together for the Fashion Union article and I don't think I have done anything like that before. It makes me wish that I did a graphics outcome for my final year at uni. We were allowed to choose a graphics, surface pattern/textiles print or a fashion based project. Some people produced amazing fashion magazines, some took beautiful photography and artwork to produce a book. As I thought I was better at sewing than I was at graphics, I chose the fashion pathway straight away. I didn't enjoy this at all, and I actually hated designing and making the six garments for the collection. I wasn't very confident with graphics back then and lacked imagination but I have improved since I've graduated as I've had to do it as part of my job. Anyway! Hope you like the looks I have put together! x
